A preposition shows the relationship between a noun/pronoun and another word.

Common Prepositions:

  • Place: in, on, at, near, beside, between, behind, in front of
  • Time: at, on, in, for, since, during, before, after
  • Direction: to, from, into, out of, toward
  • Method: by, with, without
  • Cause: because of, due to
